Bill Chambers

Bill Chambers is the operations manager of the Niagara Symphony and has been a member of the violin section since 1975. During this time he has also served as concertmaster of the North York Concert Orchestra, the Brampton Symphony and the Oakville Chamber Orchestra. He studied violin with Hilda Kirton, Gwen Thompson and Leo Wigdorchik. In keeping with his surname, he also loves to play chamber music and is a member of the string quartet Quattro Music. In addition to his musical training, Bill holds masters degree in pure mathematics and retired as head of Mathematics at John Fraser S.S. after a career teaching mathematics, music and computer science with the Peel Board. Bill has also served as a director of the Mississauga Arts Council, president of the Southern Ontario Chamber Music Institute and is presently on the board of the Peel Music Festival. He lives in Mississauga with his wife, Anna.
