Crescendo of Support for Niagara's Symphony

Niagara Symphony Orchestra is riding a dramatic wave of success unheard of in many other communities.

The numbers are music to their ears. Audiences are up. Subscriptions are up. And the books are forecast to be in the black. Again.

That’s due, in a big part, to the excitement surrounding the new FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. But it’s also the result of a lot of planning, programming and hard work behind the scenes. “Everybody had to pull their weight in order to make it all come together,” said symphony board chair Howard Slepkov, citing the administration, musicians and city.“The most important part in that equation are patrons who come and buy their tickets. We want them to know we’ll continue to provide them with the kind of listening experience they want to have, as long as they come to support us.”
