NSO's Bradley Thachuk in the news!

The Board of Directors of the Niagara Symphony Orchestra congratulates NSO Music Director Bradley Thachuk on his recently announced appointment as Music Director of the Erie Chamber Orchestra of Erie, Pennsylvania.  Mr. Thachuk adds this exciting new responsibility to his ongoing role with the NSO and his teaching position with the Glenn Gould School.

Commented Thachuk, "It gives me great pleasure to announce my appointment as Music Director of the Erie Chamber Orchestra commencing with the 2017/18 season. Their mission is to ensure high-quality orchestra music will always be available to everyone regardless of age, income, education or cultural background. This is achieved by performing every concert free of charge; an admirable and inspiring mandate, one dear to my heart.

I remain fully committed to my continuing role as Music Director of the Niagara Symphony Orchestra, with whom I enjoy a long-standing and treasured relationship, and to my position as lecturer at the Glenn Gould School. I have already established a fantastic rapport with ECO’s amazing musicians and look forward to making music in the wonderful community of Erie, PA."

Maestro Thachuk, currently preparing for the May 21st Masterworks 7 concert, recently announced a stellar line-up for the Niagara Symphony Orchestra's 70th anniversary season.  He will conduct twelve concerts for the NSO in 2017-18, his eighth season on the podium leading Niagara's orchestra.

"Like so many other conductors, Bradley continues to hone his craft by travelling and developing relationships with other ensembles, to our mutual benefit." said NSO Board Chair Howard Slepkov.  "On behalf of the musicians, board and staff of the NSO, I congratulate Bradley and wish him well with this new venture."
